Join us for Hawthorn on the Equinox with local artist and writer Lora Aziz. The evening features a seasonal walk, hawthorn-inspired refreshments, and a reading from Lora’s Thirst (with a foreword by Robert Macfarlane).

About the event
Manningtree Arts is thrilled to host Hawthorn on the Equinox with local artist and writer Lora Aziz. We’ll begin with a gentle walk from the bookshop to a nearby hawthorn tree to mark the turning of the season. On our return, guests will be welcomed with hawthorn-inspired canapés, and the bar will serve hawthorn cocktails to purchase at the counter (non-alcoholic option available). The evening continues with a reading and talk from Lora, sharing her passage on Hawthorn in Thirst (with a foreword by Robert Macfarlane).
Time to celebrate a joyful, gentle and meaningful turn of the seasons, close to both literature and nature.
