MA Young Company

The MA Young Company brings together young creative minds between 16-19 years old, who are interested in a future within the performing arts. 

The company challenges them through 9 termly sessions, aimed at expanding skill and confidence, and exposing them to industry professionals, workshops, and Q&As. The term will culminate in an intimate, professional performance at Manningtree Arts.

The inaugural company will take on 10 individuals, who will receive bespoke training through 9 two-hour sessions exploring a range of topics. The aim is for the class to receive a practical and foundational level training they can take with them to drama school, university or their future careers as artists.

Each session will be broken into two, one-hour, halves. The first, will be centred on a skill, genre or topic that will push the company to expand their understanding and help their future career or training. The second, will centre on performance, on practically producing work that will be shared at the end of the term. The company will walk away with a deeper knowledge and heightened passion for the arts, as well as a toolkit that will aid them in whichever direction their future takes them.
