Grassroots Music at MA
Over 50 artists, musicians and performers have joined us at Manningtree Arts over the past three years - some of the UK's most exciting emerging instrumentalists, singers and songwriters. It is our hope that MA continues to elevate grassroots music in Essex - making our tiny town home to some of the most exciting music programming in the county.
A gig like no other
We champion musicians as storytellers and artists. We aim to bring a curation of exceptional gigs from all corners of the world. With books as the backdrop, delicious locally brewed beer and organic wine, barista coffee and candelit vibes - our sit down performances are really special. We have a 60 capacity venue - so all performances feel intimate and electric. We are currently fundraising to upgrade our sound and lighting - and we are always looking to hear from local musicians, engineers, teachers and collaborators.
A moment for connection
Music, art, culture... live performance. There is nothing like it. Nothing like sitting in a room with your neighbours, your friends, total strangers and feeling connected to something brave and beyond yourself. Manningtree Arts aims to be a venue that welcomes everyone, and facilitates connection and community. All tickets are £15 and under. We also run regular Open Mic Nights, aimed to showcase the best local talent and from networking opportunities for emerging artists. You can also rent out our space for rehearsals, lessons and recordings.
